1) What we collect
Account & identity
- Google Sign-In basic profile (name, profile photo, email, Google account ID).
- Local Guides level (if provided/verified by you).
Contribution data
- Task selections, status, timestamps, city/area, and proofs you submit (e.g., screenshots/links to Google Maps contributions).
- Content metadata (file names, sizes, device model) for uploads used to verify eligibility.
Rewards & wallet
- Points, vouchers/gift cards, redemption history, and required payout details (e.g., email or phone for delivery).
Device & usage
- Device info (OS version, app version, language, approx. location if enabled), logs and crash data, and analytics events (e.g., screens viewed).
Website cookies
- Essential cookies for security and session, and analytics cookies (where consented) to understand visits to mapply.in.
2) How we use information
- To create and manage your Mapply account (via Google Sign-In).
- To show relevant tasks near you and verify your contributions.
- To calculate points, issue rewards, and prevent duplicate/low-quality submissions.
- To provide support, communicate service updates, and improve app performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3) Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract: To provide the service you request (account, tasks, rewards).
- Legitimate interests: Anti-fraud, security, analytics, service improvement.
- Consent: Optional analytics/marketing communications where required.
- Legal obligation: Record-keeping, compliance, dispute handling.
4) Sharing & third parties
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with:
- Service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery) bound by confidentiality.
- Payment/reward partners to deliver vouchers/gift cards you redeem.

5) App permissions (why we ask)
- Location (approx./precise – optional): to surface nearby tasks and reduce fraud.
- Camera/Photos/Media: to capture and upload proof or contribution media.
- Network: to connect to our servers and verify tasks.
- Notifications (optional): task updates, approvals, rewards.
6) Data retention
We retain account, task, and reward records for as long as you maintain an account or as needed for legitimate business purposes (e.g., anti-fraud, audits, legal requirements). When no longer required, data is securely deleted or de-identified.
7) Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to continually improve protections.
8) Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g., EU/UK GDPR, Brazil LGPD, California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. You won’t be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Mapply is not intended for children under 13 (or under the age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
